Walker Hits 2 Homers Gallen Dominates On Mound And The D Backs Beat The Rangers 6 0

D-backs' Walker and Gallen Lead Team to Victory Over Rangers

Dominant Performance from Walker and Gallen

Ketel Walker's two home runs and Merrill Kelly's strong outing on the mound powered the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 6-0 victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night at Chase Field. Kelly allowed only four hits and two walks in six innings of work, while striking out seven batters. Walker's first home run came in the second inning, a solo shot off Rangers starter Kolby Allard.

Walker struck again in the fourth inning, this time with a two-run homer that gave the D-backs a 3-0 lead. The Diamondbacks added two more runs in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Kole Calhoun and a sacrifice fly by Nick Ahmed. Walker's second home run of the night came in the sixth inning, a solo shot that extended the D-backs' lead to 6-0.

Offensive Explosion for Arizona

Walker's two home runs were the highlights of a strong offensive performance by the D-backs. The team collected 10 hits on the night, including three doubles and two home runs. Walker finished the night with three hits and four RBIs. Calhoun and Ahmed also had two hits each for Arizona.

The D-backs' offense has been clicking in recent games. The team has scored at least six runs in each of its last four games. Walker has been a key part of that success, hitting .400 with three home runs and seven RBIs in that span.

Resilient Pitching for D-backs

While the D-backs' offense has been impressive, the team's pitching staff has been equally as good. Kelly's outing on Saturday was just the latest example of the strong pitching the D-backs have been getting. The team's starters have allowed only 10 runs in their last four games, a span of 24 innings.

The D-backs' bullpen has also been solid, allowing only two runs in their last 16 innings of work. The combination of strong starting pitching and a reliable bullpen has been a key factor in the D-backs' recent success.
